Fascia surrounds and protects every tissue, tendon, muscle, bone, ligament and organ of the body. In a healthy condition, it provides cushioning and support, allowing us to move safely without restriction or pain. In an unhealthy state, structures become pulled out of alignment, creating tension on adjacent pain sensitive structures.
Lymphatic Drainage Techniques restore the body’s ability to eliminate toxins held within tissues, which, when the pathway is blocked, can result in oedema and an unhealthy state of being. All of these techniques can be, and are, utilised.
By concentrating on those areas of tension and discomfort, we work along muscle fibres, tendons and fascia helping to realign them. Together with the use of friction, we can help eliminate scar tissue, breaking down adhesions which promote restoration of normal movement.
